The government in recent years has encouraged agriculture in the UK to improve its environmental performance by way of providing financial support to farmers to create habitats and agri practices which support this aim.
We provide a range of mixtures suited to these schemes however due to the changing nature of the rules it is important to refer to current legislative documents to make sure you comply in full.

Fallow Land (EFAFAL)
Arable land that has no crop production or grazing from mid-January to mid-July to support biodiversity. Options include temporary grassland, wildflowers, wild bird seed, or soil conditioning mixes. Fertiliser is permitted for establishment, but only spot herbicide use is allowed. Grazing or cutting is permitted after 15 July.
Margins (EFAM)
Permanent field margins (3–20m wide) that enhance biodiversity and water quality. Must remain year-round, with cutting or grazing allowed after mid-July. Choose from short-term wild bird mixes or longer-term diverse grass and habitat mixtures.
Catch Crop (EFACC)
A secondary crop grown alongside a main spring crop to improve soil and capture nutrients. Maintained until 31 December and can be grazed after harvest. Fertiliser and sprays are allowed until harvest, then limited to weed control only.
Green Cover (EFAGC)
A temporary autumn-sown crop that protects soil, boosts fertility, and supports wildlife. Must be established by 1 November and maintained until 31 December. Requires a mix of at least two approved species and can be grazed when ready.
Nitrogen-Fixing Crops (EFA-NFIX)
Crops like clover, beans, or peas that naturally improve soil fertility. Must include at least two nitrogen-fixing species and be bordered by an EFA margin. No insecticides allowed during growth; herbicides and fungicides are permitted.
Herb And Legume Rich Pastures (EFAHLRP)
Diverse grasslands with herbs and legumes to improve soil health, biodiversity, and livestock performance. Must include at least three species (including one legume) and be established by 1 July 2026. Suitable for rotational grazing.
