Triticale is a hybrid or crossing of the cereal plants wheat and rye. This combination results in the quality and yield potential of wheat, with the robust nature and wider growing conditions of rye. Mainly used for livestock forage but is often a constituent of farmland bird winter food mixtures.
If sowing as a straight, sow at 125kg/ha. or 50kg/ac. If adding to a mixture, a lower rate may be applicable – please contact us for more information if you are unsure or have any other questions.
